For a place that specializes in pasta, they should probably learn to cook it! Chewy, undercooked penne noodles! In the last couple years I've unfortunately had more bad experiences at this chain than good! Management really should take a long hard look at their reviews! This used to be one of my favourite places to eat! Really moving downhill fast.
Service was slow. Menu was not as good as before. Take home pasta was awful.
Went here on Sunday. Was told it was kids eat free day by the waitress. Only discovered after we received the bill that it is only one free kid meal per paying adult. Would have been nice to know that before hand as we had handed our Mario club cards to the waitress at the beginning and she told us we didn't need them due to it being kids eat free day. I do not think we will be returning. Price have gone way to high for the quality of food and service.
Extremely disappointed with my last visit. Took my 6 and 9 year old. Place was busy but got seated quickly by the door. Things started off by seeing the guy setting the table holding my fork that I had to eat with by the end you eat from. He proceeded to grab the rest the same way when setting the table up for the 3 of us. After seeing that I was annoyed as I don't think anyone wants to eat from a utensil that someone has touched. We ordered our food and the bread was good. We only seen the waitress back once to get another loaf. After that we went over 30 minutes without seeing her again. No drink refills or cleaning off of the table. 50 plus minutes later our food came out. I was just about to leave as I was pissed off sitting there for almost an hour with impatience hungry kids and finally our food comes out. All the people around us where all complaining about not getting there food. Our waitress never did apologies or say anything about the wait time at all. She left the empty bags of bread and all of our salad plates, and big bowl of salad on our table the whole time until we left. Never offered to take all the empty plates, drink refills, extra napkins... . My daughter kept knocking things off the table as there was no room for anything. I never have left a bad review on a restaurant but I had to for this. Food was ok but the service was terrible. If they would have came and explained they were busy and apologized it would have been fine. But there was nothing and all the tables were complaining.
Went to East Side Mario's for dinner after work. Is was not very busy, the hostess was a little slow to get my co worker and I to a table. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The waitress was quick and friendly. My meal came out cold. Not even warm at all. I cut into the meatball, tried a bite to find out it was cold. The meatball was darker in the center so I thought it was raw. I told the waitress about this, she apologetically took my plate, carried it to the open kitchen and told the chef. The chef yelled at the waitress that the meatballs are pre cooked and it is impossible to be raw. After a couple minutes of them arguing, the waitress came back to me to let me know it won't be long.The manager took my meal of the bill. I, however, will not be there returning to East Side Mario's so long as meatballs come pre cooked and the kitchen staff has that kind of attitude. The pasta was not great either. Other then the chef, the staff was great and I hope the kitchen picks up some slack and starts treating customers and co workers better.
